Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Three years of hands-on experience using CATIA v. 5 in programming machining equipment in the manufacture of precision machined parts for the aerospace industry
- More than three years previous experience programming five-axis CNC machines required plus two years machining experience preferred
- CATIA v 5 experience required
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret customer blueprints/specifications, purchase orders, tooling concepts, manufacturing processes, technical procedures, operating instructions, etc.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Extensive experience with computer modeling software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines

Duties/Responsibilities
- Writes and/or modifies CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined parts
- Coordinates program start-ups in manufacturing, assists in troubleshooting and provides recommendations for the selection of cutting tools
- Monitors performance of program after implementation, makes adjustments as needed
- Evaluates requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost and time estimates
- Maintains program files
- Analyzes, reviews and recommends modifications to existing programs to increase operating efficiency, reduce costs, improve processes and/or adapt to new or changing requirements

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Minimum three years previous work experience as a CNC Programmer is required
- CATIA v 5 experience required
