  Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years previous purchasing experience working in aerospace manufacturing or related industry strongly preferred.
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite applications:  Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Use of ERP System: Syteline experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.

  Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reviews MRP demands and validates requirements.
  • Procures raw material, supplies, and parts for the purpose of ensuring necessary items for production are available when needed. This may include obtaining quotes and bids.
  • Communicates daily with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries to support production requirements.
  • Determines best quantity, price and delivery schedule and negotiates as required.
  • Verifies confirmation for accuracy, identifies any bottlenecks and communicates with management.
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
  • Troubleshoots issues and works with manufacturing and sales team to resolve issues.
  • Researches, identifies, and secures new vendors to receive competitive pricing.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

  Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required / College or equivalent experience preferred
• 

  Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basis
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
