Senior Program Manager

Location: Wichita, KS

As a seasoned account manager at MAX Aerostructures, you’ll use your skills and expertise in the aerospace industry to successfully manage projects and/or programs that deliver on a commitment to the customer that exceeds their expectations. The Senior Program Manager manages key customer programs and works with all cross-functional groups at MAX to ensure commitments to the customer are met, doing so operating to our company’s motto of doing what’s right, doing everything to the best of your ability and showing you care about our people, our customers and the product we produce.

  • Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of program execution and requirements including but not limited to: design and development, production, finance, contracts, specifications, and subcontracts.
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong knowledge of target customer and industry markets
    • Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with customers
    • Ability to generate cohesive program plans
    • Must be able to establish and track adherence to budgets, schedules and performance requirements
    • Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions on programs to internal and external representatives
  • Duties/Responsibilities

    • Manages multiple programs/projects from proposal phase through final delivery to meet or exceed customer and business expectations.
    • Uses proposal plans and strategies to lead projects and/or programs in developing, defining, and implementing strong planning and execution to customer orders and requirements.
    • Monitors cost and schedule performance to baseline plans to ensure performance is sufficient to meet business expectations.
    • Works with Operations and Purchasing to management internal and external product flow to ensure on-time delivery to the customer.
    • Manages people and/or cross-functional program teams as necessary to delivery to customer expectations in both quality and delivery.
    • Help create and promote a positive and proactive environment that team work and team building amongst groups.
    • Assist as required accurate information is entered into ERP System (Syteline) from order placement all the way through order shipment.
    • Tracks orders from placement to shipment. Work invoicing issues with internal accounting as well as customer payment groups as needed.
    • Interface with customers on delivery, quality and technical matters as required.
    • Update internal or external communication tools provided by the customer or internally created and communicate updates as requested from internal or external stakeholders.
  • Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry work experience
    • 5+ years customer service experience
  • Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basis
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
